The Fresh Start Collection

After moving to Montreal in September of 2021, Montana felt refreshed restarting her art practice in a new place. She only brought her brushes and a few art tools with an intention to start with less. Leaving behind all the unfinished paintings gave her a clear head to begin a new body of work.
In Montana’s November 2021 studio notes video, she explained how her art shows her what she’s going through at any given time. Each piece in The Fresh Start Collection addresses an aspect of starting a new life in a new city: the peace, growth, energy & knowledge.
